Matteo will continue his assault on the Protyre Formula Renault Championship this weekend at Brands Hatch and will be proudly displaying the Saxo Bank logos on the side of his Formula Renault race car and on his race overalls. Going into the third round at Brands Hatch Matteo is third in the Championship and with three more rounds remaining he is confident of vying for the title.
“I’m looking forward to this weekend’s race and I’m proud to start our relationship with Saxo Bank at this famous British circuit.”
Swiss based Italian Matteo Ferrer stepped straight into race cars at sixteen, having never competed in karting, with no driving license and having never driven a road car. At nineteen he is in his third year of single seater car racing and fighting for the Protyre Formula Renault Championship.
With a win, three podiums, three pole positions and three fastest laps so far this year, Matteo is a strong contender for Protyre Formula Renault Championship honours.
